Summary

Paid House Agency is a boutique agency working with seven and eight figure ecommerce brands. I worked with them on CRO across multiple client brands: landing pages and product pages, with oversight of both design and development. No figures are published for this work. The result on record is George's on-camera review: big conversion rate increases, better paid ads performance and no development hiccups.

Who is Paid House Agency?

Paid House Agency is an ecommerce growth agency. Its CEO and founder, George, describes it on camera as a "premier boutique agency that works with seven, eight figure e-commerce brands."

On its own site, Paid House presents itself as fractional CMOs for ecommerce brands, centered on paid advertising, with a CRO service that builds product pages and landing pages for paid traffic (paidhouse.com).

What did the work cover?

I came in on the CRO side for multiple Paid House client brands: landing pages and product pages, with oversight of both the design and the development. George describes the start of it like this:

He came in and worked with us on multiple different clients in the CRO aspect. We were able to build landing pages, product pages. The designs that he oversaw were fantastic from both a visual UI, UX perspective but also from a conversion rate perspective.

Design oversight meant each page had to pass two tests at once: the visual UI and UX, and the conversion rate. Development oversight meant I also oversaw the build of every one of those pages.

He also oversaw development as well of all of those pages. Everything was completely functional. We never had a single development hiccup.

Which metrics the work aimed at

George names four funnel metrics the work was built to move. Together they follow the buyer from the product page to the paid order.

...his insight into what converts well, what is going to boost AOV, what's going to boost conversion rate, what's going to boost add to cart rate, how can we, you know, increase complete checkout rate.

The four metrics George names
MetricWhat it measures
AOV (average order value)How much each order is worth
Conversion rateThe share of visitors who buy
Add to cart rateThe share of visitors who add a product to the cart
Checkout completionThe share of started checkouts that end in a paid order

He ties them to results upstream as well, calling them "so important to improve performance from your paid ads and your general traffic."

What were the results?

No figures are published for this work, so this case study has no result tiles and I do not add any numbers. The result on record is George's review, in his words:

...the brands that we worked on with him were extremely happy. We saw big conversion rate increases. We saw better performance from paid ads and yeah, the pages were just absolutely beautiful to look at.

Put together, the review names four changes:

  • Big conversion rate increases on the client brands.
  • Better performance from paid ads.
  • No development hiccups: "Everything was completely functional."
  • Fast delivery: "Everything progressed really quickly for our clients and for our brands", and "He delivers very quickly."

The full review is on video in the client review section of my portfolio: about 1 minute 36 seconds, no script, no retakes.

What should a similar agency or brand take from this?

Put design, development and conversion under one owner, and aim every page at the funnel metrics. Four principles from this work carry over:

  • Judge design on conversion as well as looks. George's bar for the designs covered both: visual UI and UX, and conversion rate.
  • Keep development inside the CRO scope. A page that breaks in the build loses before the test starts. Overseeing development is how every page shipped functional.
  • Aim at every funnel metric. AOV, conversion rate, add to cart rate and checkout completion each leak in different places.
  • Rank the work by money. The biggest leak gets the first test, always.

FAQ

Who is George at Paid House Agency?

George is the CEO and founder of Paid House Agency, which he describes as a premier boutique agency working with seven and eight figure ecommerce brands. He recorded the client review on my portfolio: about 1 minute 36 seconds on camera, in his own words, with no script and no retakes.

Did Hamid work on the agency's client brands?

Yes. George says I "worked with us on multiple different clients in the CRO aspect." The work covered landing pages and product pages for those brands, and I oversaw both the design and the development of the pages. The brands are not named in the review, and I do not name them here.

Are there numbers behind the Paid House review?

No figures are published for this work. George reports big conversion rate increases, better performance from paid ads and brands that were extremely happy, but he gives no percentages, and I do not add any. For published figures, see the results ledger and the receipts on my portfolio.

Why does development oversight matter in CRO?

A tested design only helps if it ships the way it was designed. When the person who owns conversion also oversees the build, the page that goes live is the page that was planned. George's summary of the outcome: "Everything was completely functional. We never had a single development hiccup."

How fast did the work move?

George says "Everything progressed really quickly for our clients and for our brands," and closes the review with "He delivers very quickly." I do not publish timelines for this work, so the review is the only statement on speed. Speed matters in CRO because a known leak costs money for as long as it stays open.
